Thanks for making these improvements to the Lusby repeater site.  This should help protect the equipment from surges and locking up. Dave KB3RAN

Matt refit some hard line connectors and performed some test on the antennas system. We also installed a Digital Logger power switch or PDU. The PDU  among other things, provides better recovery control over the 120 volt AC power after a commercial power interruption. This effectively means that if or when the commercial AC power fails, the PDU will shut off the repeater and wait. Ten seconds after the AC power is restored, either from a generator or commercial supply. The PDU will restore power to the repeater and it's related equipment, It will do so in a delayed sequence one outlet at a time. The entire process from restored AC power to the completion of the repeater restart will take about 60 to 75 seconds.  This delay will protect the repeater equipment and help to prevent repeater lock up.For the most part. The Lusby 444.950 repeater system is in pretty good shape.I apologize for any confusion today's repeater maintenance may have caused. Apparently the email I had sent earlier was not delivered.BrianKB3WFV  ______________________________________________________________K3CAL mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/k3calHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:K3CAL at mailman.qth.netUnsubscribe: mailto:k3cal-request at mailman.qth.net?subject=unsubscribeThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
