[K3CAL] Community Service Event Opportunity

   The Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention will be hosting a parade in downtown Prince Frederick on Sunday, April 30th as part of the SMVFA Convention. Prince Frederick VFD is the host company for this event. The Parade is schedule to begin at 12 noon with unit registration beginning at 10 am. Unit staging will be at Calvert High school and the last stop is Co. 2 Station before continuing to the fairgrounds for the muster / games / events.    I think that this is an opportunity for the club to get our name out to the public and the SMVFA members, so that even if we are not needed for this event it may open the door for other opportunities. My thought is that we can assist with communications for the parade that will neither tie up the public safety radio system nor burden the cellular phone system.
