Good morning all. With Field Day in our rear view mirror, it's time to think
about Maryland QSO Party again. The date is August 12th. We will be at Kings
Landing Park again this year. Pavilion 1 has been reserved(see attachment).
It has plenty of power, ceiling fan, grill, a bunch of picnic tables, and a
lot of antenna options. We have the facility from 9am to 8pm.

At this point, it is my intent to have the "go box" and QRP radio there.
Would be nice if we could have a second SSB station and a digital station as
well(my QRP radio can be for CW if we want).

Menu will be along the lines of Field day. pot luck. I will provide
hamburgers and hot dogs so we'll need some "sides" (potato/macaroni salad,
chips, etc.) and drinks. Can anyone answer as to whether or not the club
still has paper plates, napkins, knives, forks, etc.? I believe there's
still a bag of charcoal from last year at KC3RKP's QTH. I will check on
that. Please let the group know what you'll be bringing and how many people
so we can plan accordingly. Since our President did such a great job cooking
at Field day, we'll assign him to the grill(Erik, bring your "Kiss the Cook"
apron).

Let's make this year's QSO Party a good day for the club, the members, and
their family. The park has a lot to offer. Weather permitting, it would be a
good opportunity for the entire family to enjoy some outdoor fun and
entertainment.

More to come as we get closer. Look forward to seeing all of you there.
