Subject: [K3CAL] CARA Activities this weekend

Hello all!,

A couple of things going on this weekend.

First. Winter Field Day. Emergencies don't wait for nice weather. In fact they are more likely to occur in less than ideal weather. Winter Field Day is a great way to test the metal of equipment and operators. This Sunday January 29th 2023 around 11am +/-, Dale KC3RKP and Andy KC3WRX are planning to be at the Calvert County Fair grounds with a station on the air. Climate controlled space is very limited. So be sure to come prepared to stay out in the cold weather. Grab your favorite cup or two of Java with your favorite pastry and slide on by the Fair ground to say hi to Dale and Andy.

Second. The CARA Lusby UHF repeater will return to the air this weekend. Installation and testing is expected to take place mid-day this Saturday Jan 28th 2023. A signal report net will be called as soon as all of the on-air testing is complete. So please stand by. Calls for check-ins will occur when every thing is ready. Tune your radios to:

449.950 uplink/input
156.7 CTCSS/PL Tone
