[K3CAL] Officer Nominations

Well folks, it's that time of year again. Nominations for the 2024 CARA club
officers will open tomorrow, Sept. 1st. Anyone wishing to nominate someone
OR themselves for the office of President, Vice President, Secretary,
Treasurer, or Director at Large can send that/or your name and the office
that the nomination is for to the nomination committee at the email
addresses below and we will maintain those nominations to be presented to
the current Board and membership at the October club meeting. Please include
all three email addresses on your nomination to ensure it is received by a
member of the committee. Once a nomination is received, a member of the
committee will contact the nominee and confirm whether or not that
individual accepts the nomination. If accepted, that nominee will be placed
on the ballot for elections.

 

Serving as a club officer is a great way to be involved and doesn't require
experience. The club has members with vast experience who are more than
happy to lend a hand with the learning process. As we used to say in the
fire dept, "All you need is heart and guts. The rest we can teach you." 

 

I have included a copy of "Article III Section 3" titled "Board of
Directors" of the current By-Laws if you'd like to review the nomination
process.
