All,

NVIS day is fast approaching. The purpose of NVIS day is to construct and try various antenna ideas, all working as NVIS (Near Vertical
Incident Skywave) antennas. These antennas are low to the ground and provide coverage generally within a 400 mile radius- extremely important for regional HF communications in an emergency. Usual modes are SSB and sometimes digital (PSK31).

The event is sponsored by Ohio ARES. It isn't a contest. The operation tempo is pretty relaxed.

Location: Kings Landing Park in front of the pool. https://goo.gl/maps/avzGno3ssSHNcKtY8

So far, N3AE and W3PQS plan on participating. Setup around 9am. N3AE will be using an 80M/40M NVIS cross dipole.

Please contact N3AE if you're going to participate.
