Would you folks like to have a work session on programming your handie-talkies? I was planning a PSK session at our next meeting but this might be more important to deal with now.

Dave,
Thank you. That would be great. Would love to compare notes though right now I have more questions than answers. 😆 I have the Boafeng UV-82HP HT. With some effort, I figured out how to program in the Appeal repeater frequency and did my first contact with Dave Hardy but that was a few weeks ago.

Yes Troy, welcome from me as well. I’m relatively new too. The members of this club are awesome with helping new folks learn this hobby!

P.S. I have a Baofeng HT that I’m still learning how to use. Happy to compare notes sometime.

Hi Troy. Welcome!'thereabouts' refers to the frequency that they intend to meet on. The frequency 144.205 may be in use by other operators. So Erik may have to move to a higher or lower frequency.BTW, No such thing a s a dumb question. Ask away!BrianKB3WFV

Being the new guy, is the whereabouts in regards to the time or frequency? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
I barely know how to turn on and program my HT.
