Notes from 05/16/2022
KC3RKP: Good in-person meeting – talked about field day – ID cards – work on public info – new members voted in.
KB3RAN: how did things go with our stations and the storm this afternoon? Several members were on zoom for the meeting.
W3PQS: Volunteers for just about everything. Early next month meeting at Broomes Island location. Club to provide generator. Got rain and hail from this afternoon but no significant damage
N3AE: Brief thunderstorm – AuxCOMM meeting at Mt. Hope on Wednesday. Combo 6m – 10m dipole. EMA knows about the club – other services not so much. Has been working on George’s 440 radio.
N3PPH: Regular dual-bander broke. Power went off at QTH – no hail but wind was strong.
W1AJW: Glad to hear about radio. When to listen for storms.
KC3RWX: very little rain in PF. What should we do when there is a weather alert? N3AE says that NWS activates Skywarn and 145.350 is supposedly part of it, 147.300 (Bluemont) is Skywarn regional.
KC3QQD: Talkaround Tuesday will be on 144.205 USB 8pm tomorrow
KC3RWT: Got hail at the QTH. Been very busy.
KB5LNC: missed the storm.
N3BPM: had quarter-sized hail and strong winds. Tree limbs in the yard.
Respectfully submitted,
Erik, KC3QQD
