[K3CAL] RE : Winter Storm Warning

The following was received from Calvert Emergency Management

Calvert is under a Winter Storm Warning 1/3/2022 1AM to 4PM.



Tonight into Tomorrow



   - Greatest threat is to Southern MD.
   - Snow may be heavy at times especially between 4-10AM.
   - 1-3 inches per hour are possible.
   - Onset between 1-3AM
   - Low temperatures tonight in the 20’s.



Tomorrow

   - Expected amount is 5-8 inches but could be as much as 12 inches.
   - Temperatures will rise into the mid 30’s by the afternoon and some
   breaks of sun are possible.
   - Temperature’s will drop in the evening and refreezing is possible.
   - Temperatures may be in the high teens tomorrow evening.
   - 30-40 mph gusts could lead to blowing and drifting snow



Calvert EM continues to monitor with MDEM and our partners and will update
if there are any significant changes.
