I did Navy Reserve duty at his office some years ago at the Naval Academy. Do you have any information about funeral or memorial arrangements? His wife is a professor of Astronomy at USNA I think.

I post this because many of us knew him, he personally helped our club. Robert E Bruninga, WB4APR, has become a silent key. Mr. Bruninga is known for his invention of APRS used by many amateurs.
