[K3CAL] Yaesu FTM-400 is going away

It sounds like Yaesu will have ample parts on hand to keep repairs going for a while. How long that turns out to be is anybody's guess.

I am sure the day will come when the DRX repeater is no longer serviceable. I guess the clock starts now.

My guess is they would either use the FTM-300 for the "guts" of the next DRX or maybe even have a purpose built RF module for repeater service with some front end filtering on the receiver.

Rut-oh....

Wonder what that means for the Yaesu DR Fusion repeater line? The DR Fusion repeaters like the DR1x's that CARA owns for K3CAL. Are more or less simply Two FTM 400 radios cobbled together with an interface board and shamfully called a repeater. Maybe they will use the FTM 300 or 200 for future faux repeaters.
