[K3CAL] Travel trailer mobile install

Hi Dave. The fiberglass pole is a Jackite 31 foot expanding mast. It gets
pretty slim near the top so I expand it to only 21 feet and use the
two-piece 10 foot Diamond 300 antenna mounted on top to give me 30 foot
total. I've keyed repeaters in Greenbelt and Bladensburg 23 miles away.
Sometimes I can hear the Warrenton repeater 63 miles away. It's always
very clear with little rf background noise.

I mounted an adjustable clamp above the bottom tube holder to further
support the mast. The photo is the attachment below. Even in a severe
wind I get very little movement at the top of the antenna tip.

Very happy with it and I'll probably add another-like mast to attach a 10
meter antenna. I'm just looking for the right antenna without the long
wires to make it more convenient. Any ideas?

Thanks, Dale
