I really like the TV on page 8.  I
 remember my family's first TV was a Sears Silvertone: the screen was a bit bigger than the 1940 one,  and our hifi was a Silvertone, too.  I'm sure they were bought on extended terms. And the TV had rabbit ears and was black and white.  We lived close enough to the TV towers in Richmond that we got 3 channels that went off at midnight with a test pattern for about an hour more.  Back on at 6 for early news. This was 1953.
