There are several opportunities to get on the air coming up soon. 

In November, there is the Frequency Measuring Test on Nov 8 0200Z. Go to www.arrl.org/frequency-measuring-test for more info. 
And from 2200Z Friday Dec 6 until 1600Z Sunday Dec 8 there is the 2019 ARRL 160 Meter Contest. A great way to spend Pearl Harbor Day. www.arrl.org/160-meter
The 2019 ARRL 10 Meter Contest  runs from 0000Z Sat Dec 14 to 2359Z Sun Dec 15, 2019  http://www.arrl.org/10-meter
The December 2019 ARRL Rookie Round up is a CW event this year on Sunday Dec 22 from 1800Z to 2359Z.  Might be interesting to listen to even if you don't participate.  http://www.arrl.org/rookie-roundup

I didn't find any Hamfests or Conventions nearby for the remainder of this year.
If you know of other events, please let me know.  
Oh, and our Holiday Party at Mt Hope Community Center on Dec 7 at 1700L.  See later emails for details. 
Next CARA meeting will be on Nov 14th where we will vote to go back to the 1st Thursday of the month as in the past.  Stay tuned for January's date.
