If you're not planning to come to Field Day or if you're coming later; here's an opportunity to help with a fundraising bicycle ride in AA County.Hope to see you at the meeting tonight at Harriet Brown Community Center at 7:30 to talk about Field Day.

Subject: Radio Operators Needed - 22 June, Komen Bike ride south county
Radio Operators are requested to support the Susan G. Komen fundraising bicycle ride on 22 June with the Start/Finish at the South River High School. It is a 10, 35, 57, or 100 mile ride through southern Anne Arundel County. The event runs from 0600 to 1800hrs.
A Communications Team Leader has not been identified, if you are willing to fill that role please let me know.
There are six rest stops. The event organizers are also looking for SAG vehicles and drivers. From the organizer, Jeremy Roman: "SAG: I need about 8 more volunteers for SAG duty. They patrol the routes and assist any participant that may need it. They operate two to a vehicle and need a bike rack (or enough space in a truck or SUV to haul a bike)”. If you are interested in providing SAG service contact Jeremy directly. Note: AARC does not provide SAG service, only radio operators to ride with a SAG vehicle. They also need about 4 Ride Marshals who are strong cyclists to patrol the routes. ( jroman at komenmd.org ).
I know it’s Field Day and short notice, nevertheless, I hope to have enough volunteers to support this annual event. I have not committed our support yet as I’m waiting on your response!

Thank you,
