To all,

I saw a couple of announcements in the Calvert Recorder dated Wednesday,
July 3, 2019, that may be of interest to some of you.

Both sessions are free and are being presented by the Calvert County
Department of Public Safety's Division of Emergency Management.

The first training session is "You Are The Help Until Help Arrives" on
Tuesday August 27, 2019, from 7 pm until 9 pm at the Harriet Elizabeth
Brown (HEB) Community Center, 901 Dares Beach Rd, Prince Frederick.  For
information call (410) 535-1600, ext. 2638 or send email to
oem at calver-county.gov.  You can also go to www.calvertcountymd.gov/training.

The second training session is "ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter,
Evacuate)" on Tuesday September 24, 2019, from 7 pm until 9 pm at the
Harriet Elizabeth Brown (HEB) Community Center, 901 Dares Beach Rd,
Prince Frederick.  This session aims at better preparing citizens of all
ages for emergencies and will focus on responding to an active shooter
situation, performing CPR, and assisting injured persons prior to
professional help arriving. For information call (410) 535-1600, ext.
2638 or send email to oem at calver-countymd.gov.  You can also go to
www.calvertcountymd.gov/training.
