[K3CAL] Facebook outreach numbers

I started the Facebook page out of curiosity to see if there would be any impact.  These were our recent Facebook numbers of contacts.  Look at the column on the right that says Reach.  The General  class post has reached 665 views in just over a week.  Encourage your fellow hams to join our Facebook page and share our posts with their friends and pages.  And join the page yourself and get in on the action.  You can share pictures and stories of your station, your operations or share other general radio information.  There's a large audience out there.  Go K3CAL Calvert Amateur Radio  Association page to join.

CARA will be holding a General License class starting on Oct 3rd at 7 PM.  The class will be held at the POACRE (Chesapeake Ranch Estates) Admin Building at 396 Clubhouse Drive, Lusby in the lower level meeting room with the large flatscreen TV's.  Please register at board at k3cal.org.  There is no charge for the classes which will run for 9 -10 weeks but a license study manual is recommended.   CARA will not hold the license exam but will assist attendees in finding a local exam site. This your chance to find out the many interesting ways to use amateur radio for communicating with your neighbors locally and around the world.  And remember:  When All Else Fails; Ham Radio
