Get Your Park On! Rules 

Anyone interested in operating a little bit next month.  I plan to go mobile off grid to Calvert Cliffs State Park and make a few contacts.  Anyone want to join me??  




 ABOUT GET YOUR PARK ON!...
 The first annual Amateur Radio operating event, Get Your Park ON!, will occur October 14-20, 2018 in celebration of Earth Science Week. 
 
 This event is open to Amateur Radio operators around the world and is sponsored by the national affiliates of World Wide Flora and Fauna (WWFF) in Canada (VEFF), U.S. (KFF) and Mexico (XEFF). 
 
 During this on-the-air celebration hams can participate in one of two ways. 
 First, North American hams can be Activators who will set up and operate their radio stations in geological and nature centers, be they places like National or State Parks, National Monuments, protected nature habitats, or National or State Forests. 
 
 Or hams around the world can be Hunters that will operate from their home stations, search out the Activators, and make over-the-air radio contacts. 
 
 GENERAL RULES...
 Operators are required to follow rules of their countries, within restrictions of their licenses, and to follow rules set forth by WWFF and its national organizations.
 
 DATES...
 October 14, 0000 UTC through October 20, 2359 UTC
 
 BANDS...
 All authorized Amateur frequencies; however, activity should center on frequencies suggested in WWFF program rules. (http://wwff.co/   Section 14.5)
 
 MODES... All amateur modes are permitted.
 
 SUGGESTED CQ...
 Activators should call “CQ Earth Science Week” on SSB, and “CQ ESW” on CW and digital modes regularly throughout the activaiton.
 
 EXCHANGE...
 Only signal report is required. WWFF Reference ID (e.g., KFF-1234) may be included by Activators optionally.
 
 LOGS...
 All Activators are expected to submit their logs to their assigned person (may vary by country) for upload to the WWFF system. Credit for all Hunters and Activators will accrue as normal WWFF QSOs.
 
 MISCELLANEOUS...
