[K3CAL] Breakfast Poll- How do you feel about trying a new place that requires a bit of a drive?

Hello all,

I've been looking at expanding our options for places for the monthly CARA breakfast. Calvert County has a limited selection of restaurants that serve breakfast and are willing to guarantee us a table where we can sit together and socialize during our breakfast event. There are some places a bit further afield that we might try, but they are a little longer drive than the ones on our normal rotation.

Shawn and I scoped out the Wagon Wheel restaurant in Churchton on Deale-Churchton Rd this morning. They were very nice and can reserve a table for large parties. They had done a party of 22 this morning before we arrived. We both had omelets which were well made and very good and Shawn said the coffee was delicious. They said they try to make everything from scratch. Prices were pretty much in line with places we've been before. They post menus on their website: http://www.wagonwheeleats.com

Please VOTE YES or NO and let me know if you all would be willing to drive this far for our next breakfast on Nov 17.

Where-ever we end up eating, I encourage all of you to come and share the enthusiasm about ham radio. We've been averaging 6 people for the last few months and I'd like to see it get up in the 10-12 range that we used to get regularly. So if you haven't attended for awhile, think about coming again.

Once I get a vote count, I 'll let you know if we're going to try the new venue or if the majority would prefer one of the regular places this month.

Thanks everyone. I hope to see you on the 17th in any case.

Marge
