[K3CAL] Field Day 2017

I don't have the log and didn't think to check our numbers before we shut downjust before noon today, but we had around 300 contacts.  About 200 voice,  40 CW and 60 digital.  These are very rough figures.  I noticed we missed some midwest and  west states but had a good amount of sections contacted.  We worked mostly 20 40, and 80 but I think there may have been some on 15 or other bands as well.  


Thanks to all who came and helped set up, tear down, operate, bring food, eat food, or whatever you did at our Field Day this year.   We did not get the promised elected official but did get our ARRL Division Manager Tom Abernathy W3TOM around 10PM Saturday night and our Section Manager Marty Pittinger, KB3MX who came at 0130 or so and brought goodies to the folks still on the air.  Then he crashed for the night with us before heading to more FD sites this morning.  


This was a great Field Day.  The weather cooperated.  Everyone stayed safe and fed and hydrated.  Equipment worked as expected and band conditions cooperated well enough to keep things interesting.


Looking forward to the MD QSO Party on Aug, 12 and 13.  See you at the meeting next week on July 6th at the County Services Plaza.
