[K3CAL] May Display Case at Calvert Library in Prince Frederick

Calvert Amateur Radio Association has the use of Display Case #1 which is closest to the circulation desk of  the PF Library for the month of May. Not the one right inside the door as I published earlier.    We will be installing displays and equipment on May 1st and it will remain there all month.  This is a venue to show how we help the county with emergency communications,  event communications and weather reporting to SkyWarn and such.  


We have a fair amount of display materials to put in.  We are asking for radio gear that has visual appeal to attract library visitors to stop and look for a while and learn what we do.  We  have some old gear, microphones, Hallicrafters radio and will have some modern walkie talkies and stuff.  Would like an impressive code key, maybe some small vaccuum tube amp or something,  a couple large transmitter amplifier tubes would be impressive,  as would some satellite ARISS comm gear.  


Let myself or Monica KC3DAS know if you have something to add to the case.  It is a locked case but the library nor CARA assume any responsibility if items are lost or stolen.  We will be collecting items this week so we can plan the display on Friday.  


The display case is  86" long by 59" tall and is 14" deep.  There are 4 shelves fixed in place, each 41" long and 10" deep.  There is a bit of space behind the glass shelves to get posters on the back of the case.
