The annual CARA Christmas and Holiday party is set for SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2016, at the Mt. Hope Community Center meeting room # 8 and 9. The time to be set soon and another notification.
We have room for 85 persons, young and old, Hams and non-Hams, guests and interested persons.
Drinks such as bottle water, coffee and tea (with fixings), of course the special "Kirby" punch will be provided. As will be the plates, eating (plastic ware) tools and napkins, cups for hot and cold, ice will be provided.
Guests are encouraged to bring eats to be shared with all. Bring what you wish, we may have a well rounded meal or it may be just deserts, who knows!
Since I volunteered to host our event, (after Don Kirby was thoughtful enough to reserve the room last JULY, before it was gone) I am a lazy person by nature; thus there will be no lists of foods and such, as in previous "years"...Unless or course there is someone out there that would like to undertake such a challenge, to make this as successful and organized, as we have had in previous years!! Hint-Hint!!!
My feeling is it would just be nice if we could all get together for fun and banter, closing out the year in merry spirits and fellowship. (No alcohol !)
Of course the exchanging of gifts will be welcome to those that wish, and the gift amount should not exceed $25.00. We will most likely do our usually crazy exchange gift program to keep things mixed up and fun.
The new board of directors will be introduced to all and they may even provide some programming or not!
If someone has a player of some sort with music that would be greatly appreciated or we can just sing. (Remember keep in mind singing will be without the aid of alcoholic beverages!).
I would like an rsvp on attending with how many will be with you, but walk-ins will be welcome.
Stand by for future developments and the most important, THE TIME FOR OUR MERRIMENT.
Please pass this along to any that may not be on the mail list.

Jim Tetlow
