What equipment would the club need to purchase? And what equipment would an user of this mode need to purchase? Also, does this mode/band fall within the club's overall plan for equipment and fubctionality? Finally, yes. I am interested in playing with this mode, but would like more information. Also, if this is to be a club endorsed mode then the central equipment must ultimately be owned by the club and not be "borrowed" from one or more club members. (I am good with having club members set up equipment for testing or short term demonstrations but long-term projects should be owned be the club and for the club's usage. (Hence, the need for the mode to be part of the long term communication plan for the club)73skb2bcg-----

Subject: [K3CAL] Experimenting with 9600-baud APRS
I was talking with a friend back in NC about experimenting with
9600-baud APRS. There might be some benefits of using the higher baud
rate but there are also some drawbacks that come to mind.
I was thinking about something along the lines of Bob's (WB4APR)
Ultimate APRS digipeater[0]. We don't have enough hardware to add the
144.990MHz receiver but I think I can pull enough stuff together to add
a UHF frequency to the digipeater temporarily to experiment with.
Anyone interested?
73,
Eric WG3K
