It looks like (to me) your RF signal is in good shape.
A simple and basic way to check is to apply a single tone about 1KHz.
It can be an audio tone thru a microphone.
Make sure your audio compression is off. There are many settings
on the FTDX-3000 to compensate for your voice.
As we all know the idea is not to overdrive your audio on the radio.
As stated there is good information in the ARRL handbook.
I’m not sure what kind of RF amplifier you are using but some amps
have a switch so you can change the bias and run Class C as well as Class AB1 or AB2.
Class C is for A.M. , F.M. and CW modes. Some amplifier instructions for tune up is
to put a CW (carrier signal) and adjust the amplifier. Once completed the tune up put the
switch back in the SSB mode.
Class AB is for SSB and linear compared to Class C.

Pic didn't attach

I have gotten great reports on my audio with amplifier...but as a learning exercise...I connected my oscope to my rf output to see what my signal looked like..in some cases with no amplifier..it looks like my audio flat tops. But I don't know how to correct that with my ftdx 3000. Here is a video of the audio sampled with amplifier putting out 600 watts. And a freeze Fram pic that does look good.
One thing that I'm not sure about is if I have my oscope settings correct...as I really have know idea what I'm doing lol. Hopefully you can see some of the settings in the freeze frame. I'm connected to an unused antenna output (antenna #2)on an ameritron atr 30 tuner and transmiting on antenna 1. Basically just using the coupling effect to sample the rf..with out having to make or buy an rf sampler.
What do you all think?
