[K3CAL] Borrowing the APRS digipeater

Echo Link.. We had a perfectly good Echo Link system at one time UNTIL.......you know what happened.

SUNDER
(which used to be K3CAL-1 but was changed to SUNDER as a best
practice).

Who does digi-peater belong to? Erick or the club? If it belongs to Erick I don’t see an issue
but the above statement tends for me to believe it is the clubs because it once used K3CAL-1.

Rich & All-

This should not be a problem in the future.

Several members have expressed a desire to re-establish the CARA Echo-Link station. David / W3TOJ has volunteered to get Echo-Link back on the air using existing association equipment. Most, if not all, equipment required is already in the club inventory. This effort has been voted on and approved by the members at the May 2016 meeting. The full meeting minutes will be posted once they have been completed.

Ron / WA4PRR

CARA Secretary

How inconsiderate of you. You are high on and push for a K3CAL APRS
digi-peater and now you remove it for your convenience.
Is this K3CAL digi-peater "thing" must be a passing Fad.
Why don't you just use your own call sign on it and leave it that way. After
all it belongs to YOU. This way the club is not involves in your public
service events.
I pay my dues for all CLUB privileges weather I use them or not.

I need to take my APRS digipeater with me this weekend for a public
service event down in NC. I plan on removing it from service today and
returning it to service next week.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
