[K3CAL] Go Box Photos

Attached are a few shots of the Beta Go Box that was used last year @ the
Ranch Club public service event. Actually this event isn't really large
enough area wise to need a net station larger than an HT: It did however
give me a chance to shake out a few mobile com situations.. The most
important being know your systems, don't let distractions led you to
forgetting to place the generator choke in the run position after starting!
Leaving it in choke position will mess up your whole morning looking for a
blown fuse, or power wiring error! And if you are net control; always have a
backup radio to use while checking for your power system (the F6 HT shown in
the photo).

 

I am planning to bring this up for view (go box only) at the April meeting.
A full setup at a "future summer meeting tbd" this year where we can operate
on battery power or generator on all modes.
