Chesapeake Range Estates and Drum Point Property Assoc. contributed $1,500 in support of the repeater project.  They are due some consideration in resolving this project.
  Others contributed individually,

Peter

Ok here it is. Some of us went through a similar situation as this 5 years ago (started before that). That got very ugly and way out of control. That all started because of Red Cross, ARES, RACES but most of all #THEDAMNREPEATER.

Now here we are again little different AUXCOM, ARES, RACES, and most of all #THEDAMNREPEATERS. (2 now double trouble)

We are grown men all this bickering, on the air off the air, through email just doesn't cut it. There are some things that all parties have to answer for, none here are innocent of overstepping their position.
I dont believe that holding more than one position of leadership, in any or multiple organizations, is for the best interest for CARA. This is by no means the first time that has happened here, and it isnt fair to the other members, even if they wont volunteer their services.
The repeaters belong to CARA bought and paid for by the members, not the County and not by ARES, even though CARA members (most) belong to all the organizations.

The repeater committee should be CARA MEMBERS  only, not the ARES EC (although highly qualified) or the RACES Officer (whom  is equally qualified), that is not in the best interest of CARA.
The President should see this and make those changes. Now I don't we shouldn't blame this on the President as it is under the bylaws HIS choice to select committee members, but also gracious enough to see where there may be a conflict of interest (also in the bylaws).
In my opinion, and only my opinion a member should only be on one committee or office at a time, thus they can provide undivided attention to the task at hand, multi tasking is medium level management bullshit! You can get by multitasking, its a new American way of life, but you only get mediocre results on each task.

The best scenario is to sell the repeaters , or in our case give them back to Yaesu, get out of the repeater business, own nothing but our talents and friendships and get back to the hobby. Its plane to see that we suck at running a business.
Ive nothing more to say in writing or one the air about this subject, until positive action has started to improve the riff.

Now lets get back to Amateur Radio as a hobby not a business.

Sent from my iPad,
Best Regards, 73,
Jim Tetlow
