[K3CAL] 2016 APRS Golden Packet Event

Will my camper van make it to the site?  I'm interested in helping with  this project.  Can do HF/VHF/UHF  APRS and digital.  Lila will not accompany me so will have room to take one person with me.   Generator powered AC and microwave and power for radios.  Solar will come, too.

As mentioned at the previous CARA meeting, I'll be heading down to
Apple Orchard Mountain to participate in this year's APRS Golden
Packet Event[0] on 16 July 2016.  The mission is simple, establish an
adhoc network of digipeaters from Georgia to Maine, along the
Appalachian Trail, and pass position reports along the route.  This
year we'll be testing 9600 baud packet as well.

The location is also Summit W4V/RA-001[1] for the Summits on the Air
(SOTA)[2] program and I hear it's great for VHF+ work as well.

If anyone would like to join me and bring more gear for SOTA or VHF+
please let me know!  I plan on either camping nearby or staying at a
cabin about an hour and a half north.
