I will go on the record as being interested in a DMR repeater, preferably at
a site like Mt. Hope.
I support getting internet connectivity to the sites, too.

= Repeater Committee Meeting - 2016-02-17 = Held at 19:30L at the Mount Hope
Community Center.

== Members in attendance ==
# Eric Christensen WG3K
# Chuck Shefflette AA3CS
# Ed Noell KC3EN
# Bill Hackett N3XMZ

== Guests in attendance ==
# Monica Noell KC3DAS

== Topics ==
=== Inventory our current infrastructure. ===
* Waiting on the CARA Inventory to be completed.
* Will use the CARA Inventory to draw block diagrams to show audio/data flow
through the system for education and troubleshooting purposes.

=== Determine interference cause and mitigation. ===
* Chuck did a study of transmitters within a few miles and looked at
combinations of frequencies and their 2nd and 3rd harmonics. There are many
possible combinations of interference. Wants to increase the radius of the
search area to search for additional combinations.
* Need to document Shawn's findings from his second-receiver test.
* Next Steps - Chuck and Shawn will continue to investigate.
* There was some discussion, not affiliated with the meeting, of the
possibility of changing frequencies to avoid the interference but with the
recent unavailability of frequencies for a new two-meter repeater in
Leonardtown it seems unlikely we'll be able to get anything new.

==== Determine if the APRS digipeater is affecting the 146.985 repeater.
====
* Shawn says no.
* Chuck says that it should be okay at low power (5 watts).
* Will need to gain access to the tower site shelter to turn the equipment
back on. Hope to have this done soon.

=== Establish a recommendation for establishing a digipeater at the Prince
Frederick site to help relay message traffic between stations and to WL2K
(and other resources). ===
* Tabled until next month.

=== Determine what problems currently exist for our existing infrastructure.
===
* None that we know of outside of the interference.

=== Start creating a one, three, and five-year plan to recommend goals to
the membership. ===

==== One Year Plan ====
* HSMM/Packet Radio
** Internet access at tower sites
** Digipeater in Prince Frederick

* Linking between the Sunderland and Prince Frederick sites.

==== Three Year Plan ====
* DMR
** How many members are interested?

Meeting ended at 21:10L.
