Tom,
Thanks, but I think Eric has it covered with the PTC-II modem he's bringing.

What cables wound be required? In the past, I connected a MFJ1278 to a kenwood TS-440S. If the interface cable works, I can add it to my stuff.

All,
The laptop I'm bringing for FD logging has WINMOR on it. I can bring a TNC and 2m radio for working WL2K on VHF (assuming we can reach a gateway...may need a 2M beam). If someone has a Signal Link and cables to interface to one of the HF transceivers, we could do some WL2K on HF as well.

The 2015 ARRL Sponsored Field Day (FD) is on June 27-28 and will be here
before you know it. This is another opportunity to exercise all of your
communications capabilities. . .WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS. . . Winlink 2000
is our Section Mode of choice to deliver timely emergency traffic
across county lines. Our SEC, Jim Montgomery, WB3KAS, is working on the
Winlink segment of Field Day. If your Field Day site will be running a
Winlink station (if it wasn't on your FD list, why not give it a try),
please email him the Winlink call sign assigned to the station and
whether it will be VHF, HF or both.
The latest version of RMS Express allows any attached picture size
to be reduced (~20K) before sending. Let's exercise this option and
send FD pictures among our FD sites. It'll be fun and another feature
in the EmComm Tool Box for us.
A compiled list of stations will be posted during the week of FD.
And don't forget to register your site at the League's Field Day Locator
site at: http://www.arrl.org/field-day-locator.
For those new to the hobby, check the above locator site on the
ARRL website to find a Field Day operating near you and stop by and
visit. (Hint: most sites have a dinner around 5 pm and the food is
GREAT!!!) Many sites have a GOTA (Get On The Air) station and are eager
to let you play radio.
