Dave, all.
Thanks for picking up POC for SET this year!!
SET is on Oct 4th, I will be in Ocean City that weekend and won't be
participating.
SET looks like it will be a lot of fun this year, I will be sorry to miss
it; but plans and reservations have been set for a couple of months.
My APRS capability is as follows:
APRS Radio in car (jeep), HT mobile, Home Base Radio, cell phone aprs
program. Everything is operational, all modes may be connected to laptop
computer while mobile, or Desktop at base station. Radios can digipeat if
required.
Have a complete APRS station radio in GO-Box also.
Don't forget to use the proper number designator with your call sign to fit
the mobile, or base operation, you have at task.
(i.e. K3UGA-1, K3UGA-7, K3UGA-9).
Regards,
Jim Tetlow

I've agreed to be the POC for this year's SET exercise. Part of the
exercise will be tracking equipment from St Mary's County through Calvert
County. I will be attending a meeting Saturday and will share details next
week. I'm glad Eric got the ball rolling with this list of APRS capable
stations. So far, there is:
Bill N3XMC: Car, truck, foot, home
Dennis N3QHC: Mobile and home with minor problems being operable at
present
Robert KB3FXA: not specified
Ed KC3AEN: Working on a Raspberry Pi setup
Jim K3UGA: Mobile in Jeep with ht, home with no sat hookup
Les KH6CUJ: Mobile
Dick W3RBR: Home, mobile
Eric W4OTN/3: unspecified
Please correct, amend, change or add to this list please. It's information
needed at the SET meeting. Thanks
Sounds like there is possibly a need for another working group to get more
folks into APRS capability. I'm one of them.

Just curious, who has APRS capabilities at home or mobile? I know we don't
have
APRS infrastructure in the county, right now, but I'm wondering if people
who
already have APRS-capable radios (or APRS setups) hooked up could put them
on
the air perhaps we could see who sees whom and what kind of adhoc coverage
we
could provide.

Eric W4OTN/3
