So... there are a few options.  :)  This is a good resource.  I've successfully used a MFJ-9420 (SSB only) and it didn't do poorly.  It appears that the only real option for voice, CW, and data is going to be the FT-817 or one of the way-more-expensive Elecraft rigs.  I might try to pick up one of the Norcal transceivers as I've always wanted to play with one.

I've got a few months to figure something out, though.  Maybe I'll see how well the K1 actually fits in my pack...
