I'm interested in this answer also. Want a low power (25 watts or less) rig for psk ops and some voice.

Subject: [K3CAL] What's a good portable HF transceiver?
I'm looking for a good, small, lightweight portable radio suitable for hiking or
other portable operations. I have a K1 which is quite lightweight and small but
it's CW-only and I'm thinking it might be nice to have voice and maybe digital
capabilities. I used to own a FT-817 but I didn't really use it much so I can't
really comment on it. Does anyone know of another good option besides the K1
and the FT-817?

Eric W4OTN
