[K3CAL] Antenna Mast update

Dave, So far our 2 meter antenna is working well on the old telephone pole.  We have the G5RV for HF, however, the feed cable has to be trimmed down still.  Don't think I can get much DPPOA backing for another tower on the office property. 
See you Tuesday at ARES, so far I plan to be there at 1930hrs.  Thanks, though, for offering to back me up, I am working on a bum nerve running down my leg which has slowed me way down, but I should make the get-together.

Hi Dave, 

The antenna is ready to be removed so we can cut down some menacing trees that threaten to topple in a storm and damage both the antenna and church buildings.  A $50 donation to St. Cecilia Church would be most appreciated.  I’m available most anytime to be on hand for a removal “party”.  We are located at 47950 Mattapani Road in St. Mary’s City.  Mattapani runs between Rt. 5 (Point Lookout Rd.) and Rt. 235.  I’ll call to discuss the details with you.

Our radio club is a nonprofit service organization furthering the hobby of amateur radio in Calvert County.  We are interested in emergency communications and supporting organizations with radio needs at events.  We volunteer at PRAD, CF Bike Ride, Rosaryville 50K Race and other events to help with communications.  
  
Our members volunteer their time and equipment and transportation to support these events.  We also teach classes for new hams and support school amateur radio clubs.  We don't currently have a need for a tilt tower, but might in the near future.  Some of our members do have a place for it and could use it.  
  
Please keep CARA in mind when you decide what you will do with the tower.  I'm sure a $50 donation to the church funds would be agreeable.  We have members with the expertise to remove it, also.
