There's been talk, there's been discussions, it's now official.

A few months ago Dennis asked me to consider taking over the ARES Emergency Coordinator position.  As of early this afternoon I have officially been appointed to that role for Calvert County.  I thank Dennis for his years of service in this role.

Over the next few days and weeks I'll be starting several discussions on the Calvert ARES list[0].  I invite everyone to subscribe to the list (if you didn't get this from CALV-ARES then you aren't subscribed) if you wish to be part of the ARES team.  I'll be taking a roll call soon to determine who's on board.

I appreciate the words of encouragement and support that I have received.  This, however, will not be a single person's vision or operation.  We're all in this together because at the end of the day we will all float together (there will be no sinking here, I hope).
