The net consisted of Net Control, Race Director, Water Stop 1, Water Stop 2 and Start/Finish.  CRE volunteers were assisted by OWRC staff and volunteers, CRE Security Patrol and Calvert County Sheriff's Deputies in handling registration, snacks, traffic control and parking.  The CRE AirPark crew parked cars and planes.  Several takeoffs and landings occurred while participants were waiting for the awards ceremony.  Ribbons were awarded for several age categories for men's and women's divisions.  Early arrivals were treated to a bagpiper playing patriotic music.  A tour of the OWRC facility was offered after the race.  They have over 75 rehabs at this time including a Bald Eagle nearly ready for release to the wild.
