[K3CAL] Surprise finding on the web

All, 

I was looking at http://hamcall.net/ today, which I usually don't use for callsign lookups. You have to register (free) to get full details on a callsign. So I did, and was surprised to find many calls have the op's birthday (day/month/year) listed in the callsign details. 

With all the identity theft these days, having DOB info associated with a name and address isn't a very good idea. I sent an email to the web master and he promptly removed my DOB info from my callsign record. 

Thought I'd share the discovery.
