My first HF station, in the mid '80s, consisted of a Barker & Williamson 5100B (I also had an inoperable B&W 5100) and a Collins 75A-2 (or 75A-3, I'm not sure which). I later sold them on E-bay. I got more for the inop 5100 than the working 5100B. The transmitters cost more that $100 each to ship. See them here:

With the possible exception of the 5100B, these were all older than me.

Does the fact that I own and operate some of the same
equipment that is in the museum, make me old ???
Very cool Dennis ..... I'll have to make plans to visit the museum
the next time we go for a visit with the in-laws

Dennis,
Very nice museum, but makes me feel old.
When I was a kid, I had one of those Gilbert chemistry sets they had in the glass case. Came complete with a 2x2 sheet of asbestos to sit the alcohol burner on so you wouldn't scorch mamma's table top. I suspect any number of chemicals in the little jars would make you sick if not kill you if you swallowed them.
How things have changed. Now if someone drops a single mercury thermometer they evacuate the neighborhood.
