Since our speaker at the March meeting was from Voice of America and had an
interesting presentation I thought some would be interested in listening to
their digital tests. The information is on ARRL's website
http://www.arrl.org/news/voice-of-america-to-test-digital-transmissions-this
-weekend and is scheduled for March 16 and 17. The site lists some programs
that you can use to copy them, if you click their link it will take you to
the software's home page. Do note Digipan will not do all the modes they
will be transmitting in. I would suggest fldigi, only because the PSKR250
and 500 transmissions are formatted for flmsg which is fldigi's way of
transferring forms via radio. If you do not have a digital interface you
are not out of luck, take your computer microphone and put it in front of
your radio speaker. If you want to do this I would suggest you give it a try
first, during the day you will find many PSK31 signals at 14.0770 and in the
evenings at 7.035. If you need a hand just shoot me an email and I will try
to help you out.

73,

Bob N3PPH
