This is not the place to air grievances about CARA and how it is being
operated. I will give you a call ASAP direct. You are always welcome to come
to the meetings and voice your opinion.

WOW. What 'kind of thing" is stirred up' and/or 'uncalled for and should be
stopped'? The time of ARES meetings? I don't see that being an issue here.
What do you mean I am not speaking for the RACES Officer? There is nothing
written, said, or hinted about RACES Officer at all. Can you clarify?

This is kind of thing that keeps everyone stirred up I hope you're proud
yourself today. As this is uncalled for I know you were kidding but a lot of
people did not know how to take this I think it is uncalled for and should
be stopped after all it has been over two years. I know for a fact you do
not speak for the RACES officer. In your position as the Ares officer this
is an appropriate to be sending out.

At our "normal" time of "7:30 P.M." ARES meeting and nets occur at 7:30
P.M.
Please, don't confuse ARES with CARA, Inc.('Those CARA.org people', aka the
"Corporation" never liked one single thing from the original CARA group
including the normal time of 7:30PM which allowed those that work, time
enough to get home and maybe settled. We cannot have any consistency of time
when evening events occur. We used to have meeting and nets at the same
time. Nowadays, different events happens at different times.
Hypothetically, I supposed, different times make it easier to remember for
those of us with CRS? BTW, who are you?) J
Now, are you glad you asked? Ask a man what time it is and he tells you how
to build a watch.

SUBJECT: Required NIMS Training
At the last CALV ARES Meeting we discussed the need to complete 4 NIMS
classes. Below are the links to these courses. Perhaps some can find time
to complete these self-taught courses.
We will be teaching NIMS-100.b at the March meeting.
After 9/11 it was determine to have First-Responders working on the same
page. Various groups of First Responders had different methods and
organizational structures which cause miss-communications. FEMA studied the
After Action Reports and determined to have everyone on the same page
working together. Hence, the minimum requirement for hams working with
First Responders is to have these courses completed. It is very important
if you want to be an ARES or R.A.C.E.S. member that these course be done.
CALV ARES/RACES is a behind getting these courses completed by its members
so please come to the March CALV ARES Meeting or start doing these course at
home. These four courses are one of those Very Important things to
complete.
If you do the classes online please send a copy of Completion to
gottkr at co.cal.md.us AND to RO Bill Hackett/N3XMZ n3xmz.md at gmail.com .
