[K3CAL] Lighthouse Event

Hello All

Great news! CARA's Plans for the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend 2013
at the Calvert Marine Museum WILL go on as scheduled.

Starting on Saturday August 17th at 8:00am and running overnight until
Sunday August 18 th 3:00pm. CARA will have 1 digital station and
2 HF station operating at the Corbin Pavilion on the grounds of the
Calvert Marine Museum in Lusby Md. This year CARA is representing
the Drumpoint Lighthouse.

Also on Saturday a reporter from the Calvert Recorder is expected to
visit with CARA and take some photo's for an up coming article.

Some food will be provided on Saturday afternoon. Bring your own
drinks and anything else you would like to eat.

Bring your own chairs and folding table if you like. Chairs and table at
the event are next to none.

OPERATORS NEEDED  including overnight operators .. If you are interested
please let me know.

Antenna set up will be at 8:00 am Saturday morning. We could use
some rope and coax if anyone has some that we can borrow please
let me know.

The weather forecast for this weekend is looking very good for August
The weather guessers are predicating temperatures in the mid to upper
70"s and partly cloudy skies for the weekend.

So a great cause a great event and great weather all good reasons to
come out this weekend and visit.
