Seriously the hospital would definitely be a high public traffic area and
next year's planner may want to explore that. Maybe we can hang a couple of
dipoles off the water tower.

The Frederick Amateur Radio Club and Frederick ARES will hold Field Day
activities again this year on the top two decks of the Frederick Memorial
Hospital parking garage on June 23-24, and everyone is invited. We found
this to be an excellent venue last year with plenty of shade, good antenna
mounts, and a remarkably low RF noise environment. Two to four HF stations
will be set up and operating for the 24 hour period with power provided by
our generator. There is also the option of operating from your vehicle on
the top deck (about 50' feet up) using your mobile antenna. We will need
both operators and loggers, and you don't have to be a member of FARC or any
other ham organization, just willing to have a good time with your fellow
amateurs.
