[K3CAL] qsl card

Tim Allen's call sign isn't real, it's not even in the correct format. They
basically made one up they knew wouldn't be legitimate, but it kinds looks
that way. If you notice, two of the letters in the call sign are "TT".
They're in there to "honor" his character in "Home Improvement", Tim Taylor.
The whole thing is explained in the February edition of "QST Magazine".

The producer of the show is a ham and they worked ham radio into Tim Allen's
character. Honestly I have only seen little bits and pieces of the show. I
did catch the Icom IC-9100 in the background in the part I watched.

Cool Bob, thanks for the heads up. I wonder how he got an experimental call
sign. Hummm...

I just learned of this from the digital group I belong to. I am sure most
everyone has heard of the TV show Last Man Standing with Tim Allen and its
involvement with ham radio. What I found out is that if you send a blank qsl
card to the address below (no SASE) you will get a card back signed by Tim
Allen. Worth the price of a stamp and a card to me.
Just send your blank QSL card to:
