[K3CAL] Official NOTICE

If you remember I made a motion for special meetings and the majority voted
for email. I agree the email has not been there but the people that voted
for it should have used it. As secretary the members at the last meeting
directed me to send notice, I did also including the document we will vote
on. I am not sure we can override the vote that was taken, since we are
still under the old constitution and by-laws the request for a special
meeting needs to be addressed by the president and each of you that requests
this should contact him directly by email as we have no history of proxy
voting/ requesting.

Please also remember I am answering this as the Secretary of the club, not
necessarily my personal feelings.

Bob N3PPH

Yes - the motion was to vett the remaining issues via email. However, I
don't recall seeing any email traffic that reflects a discussion of changes
proposed and/or implemented in the document. If changes had been proposed
via email they should have been shared with the members via email so that we
all had a view of what was changed and/or modified and why.

I suggest you might want to re-think this. We have time between now and the
August meeting. How about publishing a summary of what was suggested and
what was changed as a result of discussion?

Just trying to help keep things on an even keel and above board.

Wayne

The constitution and by-laws were originally sent as 1 pdf document and
still remain that way. I thought we were all on the same page at the July
meeting when we said we were going to bring it to vote in August. It has
been since the June meeting that it was decided to use email for any further
editing. Remember this is a vote, if enough people feel the documents are
not what you want you have a vote, use it as you see fit.

Motion in May meeting was to finish constitution via E-mail . No mention of
the by-laws . I was under the same impression
that we would do the constitution in meetings.
