Just wanted to extend my thanks to Dave for allowing me to provide the club with information on the start-up of the Southern Maryland Chapter of PVRC.

I guess you could sense that I am enthusiastic about contesting!

I have attached the document that I handed out.  PVRC is a great organization for those that have a sincere interest in contesting.  In my mind the benefits go well beyond contesting.  If you get the contest bug you will find that participating in contests (whether casually or full bore) really sharpens your operating skills, and makes you much more cognizant of the technical aspects of getting the most out of you equipment.  Please visit the PVRC website - www.PVRC.org.  There's lots of info there about the club and contesting in general.  Take a look at the webinars.  These are conducted regularly, and are open to all amateur operators.

If you have any questions about the new Chapter, PVRC, or contesting in general feel free to give me a call.  I'll work with Dave to find a time when I can come to a meeting and do a more detailed presentation on contesting.
