Catch the Geminids and Chat with NASA Meteor Experts
Geminids and Amateur Radio
The week of December 10-16 is a good window for Geminid watching, but the
night of Thursday, December 13 is the anticipated peak of the shower.
Most meteor scatter activity takes place on 6 meters and 2 meters. Some
amateurs use SSB or CW to make quick contacts during longer "burns," while
others rely on digital modes, primarily FSK441, which is part of the free
