Yes,

When Woody pased away, we applied for a new club call.   K3HIC was issued by the FCC.

I then applied for a vanity call for the club when we determined K3CAL was available.   We only had K3HIC for a short period of time.

The current record on QRZ for K3CAL shows
the previous call sign for CARA as K3HIC

Prior to K3CAL the callsign was W3ZNW (Woody Schwartz – SK).  Well, we had a callsign after ZNW for a short time period (maybe K3HIC) then we got K3CAL.  All the old QSL cards were tossed by the dweller of MHCC RACES Room.  QSL cards were kept on the bulletin board at Mt. Hope.  The bulletin board along with any QSL cards are history.  However, there were a few K3CAL QSL Card designs, not many – maybe three (??) from the 1990’s or 2000’s.  One day I need to fire up an old computer I have to see what old stuff I have stored on the HD from the 90’s and 00’s.

Dennis

Since you were the president for many years I would be very excited to see the QSL card from 1954 to the 70s and 80s. I am hoping you are the historian that has this information. Could you please scan it in  and send it out on the bounce so that new CARA can keep some history of this Association. The card that Shawn sent on the bounce seems to be a lot newer with the Huntingtown address and zip code. Thanks for all your help.

When CARA existed from 1954 to 2012, there was a QSL card for K3CAL that was used for many years.  It had Drum Point Lighthouse on it and was sent for contacts made during events.

I am unaware if CARA v2.0 has a QSL card.  You might ask the Calvert Amateur Radio Association, Incorporated Board since this is a new organization and they should be more knowledgeable since CARA v2.0 has existed for just a few months

.

Hope this answers your questions .

I would like to know if Calvert amateur radio Association Inc. has a QSL card for K3CAL that already exist. I know some you old-timers that had been around have make contacts through the Association call sign if so what card was sent out to the public?
