Unless you have room to separate the antennas by 20-30 feet and have a very efficient duplexer, a single antenna will work fine. In any case, the transceiver has an internal duplexer and both bands are sharing the same piece of coax so...
I have a dual-band Diamond on the car. While I don't have a transceiver that will do cross band repeat, I do have a couple of repeaters saved with RX on 440 and TX on 2M, or vice versa. It works well.

Thanks for the input
So, a single dual band antenna will work fine for a radio that can
cross band repeat ?
The TX on 2 meters won't interfere with the RX of the 440 (or vice versa) when
the radio is connected to only one antenna ??

Hello
I am considering purchasing a new
dual band 2m/440 mobile radio with crossband repeat
and I am wondering about the antenna (s).
Which would be better?
A single dual band antenna
or two antennas one 2 meter and one 440
with a duplexer
