The Delmarva Amateur Radio & Electronics Expo...Hamfest.. is being held in
Georgetown, Delaware on Saturday April 21. Would you please circulate this
information among your members?
Our Hamfest includes several commercial vendors including:
Ham Radio Outlet (HRO). The largest Ham Radio dealership in the world
featuring Amateur Radio equipment, Short Wave Radios, Scanners, and Weather
Stations.
RPC Electronics. One of just a few companies specializing in APRS
equipment. Products include APRS trackers, kits, related GPS devices,
cables, and accessories.
Verizon Wireless. A nation wide giant in wireless communications offering a
variety of the latest Cell Phones, Blue Tooth Headsets, Wireless High Speed
Internet, and Service Plans.
Call Stuff. America's premier provider of Amateur Radio embroidered goods.
Products include embroidered apparel, custom name badges, and Radio Safety
Vests.
Quick Silver Radio. Nationally known leader in Ham Radio accessories
offering a wide selection of wire, cable, tools, parts, and accessories for
Ham Radio, CB, scanners, and shortwave.
Eagle 1 Communications. A long time pace setter in Ham Radio and CB
Accessories. Products include Antennas, Meters, Power Supplies, Coax Cable,
and Microphones.
Pasco Batteries. The area's "Cranking & Charging Specialists" providing all
types and sizes of batteries, chargers, cables, and related accessories.
PLUS, several local and regional individual vendors will be offering a
variety of one-of-a-kind computer, radio, and electronics items. Indoor
tables are only $15. Outside we'll have tail gating at only $10 a space.You
can never tell what you'll find in the flea market at the Delmarva Amateur
Radio & Electronics EXPO! (If it rains, tail gaters move inside at no
additional cost.)
Programs include "Tower Installation, Maintenance, and Safety" by Terry
Dalton; "A Ham Radio Hardcore Station" by Phil Theis W3TUF; and, "What's
Wrong With Ham Radio?" by Allen Pitts W1AGP ARRL PIO. We'll also have
license testing and QSL Card Checking. A particular highlight will be a
Police K-Nine Demonstration presented by Delaware Law Enforcement Officers
and their special pets. This is something the whole family will enjoy. As
an added feature, Beebe Medical Center of Lewes, DE. will have
representatives available to provide FREE blood pressure screening
throughout the day.
The EXPO offers an excellent noon lunch...famous Delmarva Grilled Chicken...
accompanied by a variety of homemade desserts.
Entrance tickets are only $5.
