[K3CAL] PVRC Meeting April 4, 2012

What: Two months ago Dan Zeitlin and I made a presentation to the club on contesting.  The Southern Maryland PVRC Chapter start-up that we talked about is about to happen.  If you have a sincere interest in contesting and would like to pursue membership in the Potomac Valley Radio Club this is for you.

When: Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012. From 6:30PM until 8:00 PM. (The room will be available from 5:30 in case you’d like to stop by early for a rag-chew).

Where: St. Mary’s County – Charlotte Hall Library - 37600 New Market Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622 (NW Corner of Rt. 6 and Rt. 5/235)

This Chapter will primarily serve the needs of the Hams in St. Mary’s, Calvert, and Charles counties. This area includes several large population centers (Waldorf, La Plata, Lexington Park, Prince Frederick, Brandywine, Leonardtown, and a few others).  The PVRC itself covers a large area - including MD, VA, NC, DE and PA.

Wayne Rogers (N1WR) will be the chapter chair. AB3IC be doing the leg-work.  At this initial meeting we’ll be making a presentation to potential members and discussing future meeting dates, times, and locations. 
  
Add the date to your calendar.  Those leaving from Calvert might consider getting together for the ride to Charlotte Hall.  There will be one more announcements on Tuesday as a final reminder.
